about

"Bochum Welt, Gianluigi Di Costanzo to his friends, uses classic Rephlex tricks, making music with synthesisers and drum machines clearly discovered in a rubbish tip outside a Sheffield studio circa 1985. The results are the kind of gloriously melodic, fucked up, lo-fi ditties that you wonder if you'll ever tire of them. And respect for the bonus 12-inch with the vinyl copies. Billy: I've got a few things on Rephlex. The μ-Ziq stuff is brilliant and Mike and Rich's album was stunning, real oddball gear. I really like the warm chords and distorted percussion of 'Desktop Robotics' and 'HMT' is quite nice as well. If anyone's into Aphex or Rephlex, they'll definitely like this. Cool. It would definitely bring a smile on my face on the way home from a gig".
